We welcome you to the Compass Rose Guest House, a private sea front vacation rental located in Sittee Point, Stann Creek District, Belize, Central America. The Compass Rose sits directly on the Caribbean Sea between the sleepy little fishing village of Hopkins and the exotic Sittee River. You will find the Compass Rose Guest House a modern accommodation that comfortably sleeps up to 4 people with a queen bed and full futon. Bathroom with shower stocked with towels and linens. Other amenities include: air conditioning, ceiling fans, community water system, fully stocked kitchen with refrigerator, range and microwave. A “Smart” cell phone is available for your convenience. Entertainment includes an iHome for your iPod along with books and games.
Kick back in a hammock hanging on the Compass Rose’s large wrap around deck and take pleasure in the never ending view of the western Caribbean Sea and the many Cayes. Watch local fisherman paddling homemade dugouts. Feel the thrill when you see the shy manatees feeding in the evening or a dolphin swim past. Belize a surf-n-turf country just waiting to be explored. With the Compass Rose Guest House sitting half way down the coast line, most all the major tourist attractions are just a day trip away. A 40 minute boat ride will take you out to the largest barrier reef in the western hemisphere and over 400 pristine Cayes. The scuba diving and snorkeling are exceptional with Belize’s abundance of sea life along with some of the top dive sites in the world. On the mainland explore Mayan ruins, hike in the jungle and take a refreshing dip in the jungle’s infamous Blue Hole off the Hummingbird highway. Tube through caves, catch a zipline, or learn drumming from a local Garifuna drummer. Cook up some freshly caught fish or visit one of the local restaurants located just minutes from the Compass Rose Guest House. You might just end up “talking story” with the local Belizeans.
